FAQ

Does converting reduce quality?

JPG is a lossy format, so each re-encode costs a little quality — keep quality at 90+ for best results. PNG is lossless and converting to it costs nothing. WebP supports both lossy and lossless modes.

Is transparency preserved?

Converting to PNG or WebP keeps the alpha channel intact. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a solid colour (usually white).

Can I convert in bulk?

The current version converts one image at a time. After downloading, click "Choose image" for the next file — no page reload needed.

How compatible is WebP?

All modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari 14+) support WebP, as do major social and e-commerce platforms. Fall back to JPG only when you must support very old systems.
